Welcome to our church. We are so happy you found us. All are welcome.

Where are you located?
Ypsi First United Methodist Church is located just north of downtown Ypsi at 111 Washtenaw Ave, Ypsilanti, MI 48197. To see where we are located, please click HERE. There is a church parking lot on the other side of Washtenaw Avenue. Please enter through the Washtenaw Avenue entrances.
Is the church equipped to serve special needs individuals?
Our building is fully accessibleby elevator. A looping system is available for those using hearing aids, so please ask whomever is running the audio board in the rear of the sanctuary. Service animals are also welcome to attend our services.
Our English worship service at 9:30 AM on Sunday mornings. Our Spanish worship service will be back this fall at 11 a.m.. The service is one hour and is followed by fellowship time with coffee and treats, and at 11:00 various teen and adult classes begin. The Spanish small group meets at 9:30 a.m..
These worship services are more traditional. They includes hymns sung with our organ and piano, special music from the choir, and preaching and prayer.
What about children and teens????????????????????
•Child care, for ages 0-3, is provided during the entire Sunday morning schedule.
•Children in Pre-Kindergarten-4th grade are invited to Sunday School after Children's Time in worship.

•Holy Communion is served on the first Sunday of each month. All persons of faith are welcome to take communion.
•Coffee time after worship is a great way to meet others.
Do you have any opportunities for youth?
Yes. Youth gather on Sunday mornings at 11:00 a.m. in the Youth Lounge for their own class. These classes provide a safe place for young people to think, question and discuss questions of faith as they grow.
You will see a variety of attire, from blue jeans to coats and ties. Come as you are. We'll be glad to see you.
What do I do during the offering?
Your gift to us is coming to worship. Please, do not feel pressured to give monetarily.

Please stop by our visitor center at the back of the sanctuary. Here you will find name tags and information about child care and Sunday School. Also, we would appreciate learning how best to contact you about your visit with us.
What's next?
Ypsi. First offers a new members class several times a year. The Topics discussed in this class are: “What does it mean to be Christian?”; “Who was John Wesley?” and “What is this church’s vision?” and “Who am I and where do I fit in?
This is a chance to become acquainted with Ypsi. First and to get to know other new members.
