Holy Thursday-- worship with Communion

7:30 pm. in our church sanctuary. Pastor Rey will be preaching, the chan cel choir will sing. We will remember Jesus and his disciples as they gathered in the Upper Room for the Last Supper

 

Good Friday-- worship opportunities

 

7:45 a.m.-- Women at the Cross at Brown Chapel AME Church
1043 West Michigan Ave in Ypsilanti
Pastor Melanie will join 6 other clergy women from the community as each preaches on one of the 7 last words of Jesus when he was on the cross

 

Noon to 3 p.m. prayer vigil in the sanctuary

Come and walk the Labyrinth, or pray and meditate about Jesus' life and your faith

 

7:30 p.m. Community Good Friday Service in our sanctuary

Join us for a special readers theater as we commemorate this holy day, and in particular Jesus' death on the cross. Community Choir will be singing Churches participating: First Congregational Church, United Church of Christ, Frist Presbyterian Church of Ypsilanti St. Matthews United Methodist Church First United Methodist Church of Ypsilanti

 

Easter Sunday

 

7:30 a.m. Community Sunrise Service at Riverside Park-- just off the cross street bridge in Depot Town. Join us as we celebrate the resurrection, with music, scripture and cascarones! ( confetti eggs)

 

8:30-9:30 a.m. Easter Breakfast in Fellowship Hall.

Come one, Come all for the delicious Buffet Easter Breakfast. Wonderful Food and Fellowship. $6.00 for adults... children under 10, free. Menu: scrambled eggs, brocoli quiche, Mexican vegetarian eggs, hash browns, sausage and ham, fruit and breads.

 

9:30 a.m. Easter Egg Hunt

For Pre-school, Kindergarten and First Graders. In the pre-school room

 

10:00 Easter Worship for everyone in the sanctuary

Chancel Choir, Bell Choir, organ and Brass Choir will provide beautiful Easter music Pastor Melanie will be preaching.. There will be beautiful Easter Flowers. Communion will be celebrated This will be a special bi-lingual service in English and Spanish as we celebrate EASTER with our whole church and community.
